What do you think is a fair price? I have around 20 hours into this first piece and 75$ in materials. (Less if the dash is supplied)

 

Damn.....how long do you estimate doing the next ones? It might be worth taking it to a place that does CF/fiberglass work and see if there is a quicker way of replicating what you just did. I like it but I don't know if the price will be on par with the time you have into it.

I would pay a few hundred or so......I am thinking like $350 or so, $400 max but that is pushing it.

Probably would be easier if you made a template to cut the materials and then you would be able to make a couple of them quicker.

I figured that would be the sentiment but really what would you expect?
This guy has $75 and 20 hours into this, do you expect him to make them for $150?
At $10/hour and materials that is $275.

Don't know about you but I wouldn't waste my time unless I was making atleast double that an hour.

Besides Gruppe-S pods in 52mm are selling for $200 these days.

 

To clarify, nothing is for sale just asking opinion . That being said I could replicate this in about 10 hrs now that I have a feel for it. This one may come up for sale on the forums.

Not cool... but HOT.... it's a damn good thing you are up north, and at a high elevation, because those vents are the key to keeping your ride cool.

Then again, people pull their AC out of their cars....

 

I have done a similar gauge solution last year but in my case I retained the stock clock. Its simply not worth the time to make these. Unless someone knows something I don't
I highly doubt many would pay the fee needed to cover the time it takes to make these... plus extra cash to make it worth while
It took me a lot of time and effort to make mine. I would never do it again except for myself. Which I will do to correct all my mistakes that I made on my first attempt

Im not sure what the op did, but I modified my airbox to completely close off that section which in return causes the side vents to flow much more. Its like closing off the center vents... before I attempted this mod, I drove my car through 1 summer with the center vents closed to see just how bearable or unbearable it would be... In my case it really didn't bother me. All gauges are better in line of sight while driving and I do not have to take my eyes off the road. Peripheral vision FTW

 

I didn't use the center vents because of my fold out deck, I didn't notice any issues with cooling. I did cap the two ports so more pressure from the side vents too.

In person, this looks clean... Flush... I always thought the clock/vents looked cluttered. Why did I do it? Because racecar.

thats awesome man, what would be cool if you could route and construct vents and the clock and hazard button to go in the tray under the radio.

 

That. Is. Awesome. I would pay 300 for one if it was worth the mans time... it's unique and clean. It'd be cool to see more pictures!!

Ps- I had always thought it would be cool to make something similar, like a flat cf piece facing the driver, with the hazard and clock on one side then open space for gauges... but this is much nicer looking I think.
