evo in dash/gauges

evo in dash/gauges
i learned from someone who took theirs apart that the gauges in the evo, dash ones that is, are not separately replacable is this true?? i know the WRX you can change the faces and the individual gauges. this dude told me the whole dash/gauge unit in the evo is one big piece that plugs in so you have to have a direct replacement for it, the whole thing. i want desparately to replace the tach, speedo, and whole in dash gauges. i guess we have to wait for someone to make a replacement unit eh???? get going guys!!!!! haha.

You can change or copy the gage overlays (faces). I took my of and ran them in my scanner and changed color and icons. BUT the evo back lighting is hard to work with. Looking for someone to make EL gage faces now. Someday they will be here.
