Hi I purchased a evo 9 with full exhaust open filter and mbc, the car is tuned and runs and drives nice but seems to idle as if it has cams. Yesterday I pulled the valvecover and noticed stock appearing hollow cams.The part number on the intake cam is 6a17. Can these be stock, regrinds?

 

Do you know or can get a hold of the tuner? You can mess with the tune to make it sound a little lopey. What RPM are you idling at? Do you have stock injectors?

The fuel injectors are stock, no idea who tuned it but Im going to have the tune checked out/retuned within the next week or so. I also noticed my 2 step is set at 6300rpm. Idles at about 850-900

Sure looks like stock cams. You can alter mivec at idle to give the car a lope. Might just be that.

 

If your 2step is at 6300 then for sure someone has touched the map. Does the car have a wideband?

 

You can get it to idle like it has cams in a tune, my old celica gt4 had been tuned to sound like it had 272's they are def stock cams, if it had been regrinded the company who would have done it 99% of the time would have put a indent to clarify this

 

Can anyone tell me the part numbers on there stock cams?
