Squash Performance Double Pumper -- Freeking Amazing

So I was in the need for more fuel as I have pushed my single walbro 255hp as far as it will go. I was really torn between the double pumper kits out there BR($545), FullBlown($699), and Squash($869). Now the prices are with fuel pumps. I read all the reviews and that kick FB out because of all the issues they have, did not want to deal with that. So I was left with BR and Squash. There was a $324 difference in price. So I started looking at the pics, and the quality of the Squash unit just looked amazing. I figured what the hell I will go for it.

When I called to order it Squash was amazing, great customer service and set my mind at ease with this system. So today it shows up, I open the box, and holy hell it was the most amazing thing I have seen. The quality is just insane. So much attention to detail. Everything came assembled and ready to drop it. The single plug is fantastic. I mean I really don't know what else to say but this system is just amazing.

I will have some install pics over the weekend, I am putting everything in tomorrow. So here are the first round of pics.

update us on how it works, looking good means nothing if it doesn't function properly.

I hear you on that one. But if it functions as good as it looks it will be well worth the money. I will be snapping all sorts of pics of the install and report back on how it flows, and how everything is working.

I dont understand the point of paying 300+ extra for a unit on how it looks. Its under the seat and no one can see it. Buschur has been proven agianst other double pumper setups and has outflowed them.

In for results though

The buschur unit is tried and true, I will agree with you there.

Why pay more for this unit, well after my testing I hope to have lots of reasons why you would pay more. But for now, the quality is second to none.

Yes mine is loaded with the Walbro 267's which are the e85 450lph pumps.

You can have it loaded with dual 255hp's or the dutsch works 300lph pumps. So lots of options.

OK I don't post much, basically never, but I feel like I need to respond to this. There are a LOT of reasons to spend some more coin on my system. It has nothing to do with the way it looks. Here are the things that our unit does differently than anyone else including Buschur:

1) completely sealed heavy duty wiring. there is no chance for fuel to weep through the wires, around the connectors, anything like that
2) combined pump outputs so you don't have to run fuel lines outside of the tank with a Y fitting
3) proper check valve on the combined outputs for instant priming, instant starting
4) jet pump is powered from the supply side so you don't have weird pressure fluctuations from having the jet pump work on the return flow.
5) our unit holds the largest, best pumps on the market (Walbro DC/SS 400+LPH)
6) you don't have a retainer ring to mess around with, you just drop it on the tank and tighten the nuts

excellent solution to all the messing details with previous builder setups! we were really luck our race car did not got into fire with the Full blown setup as it leaks fuel badly through the glue they put in the wiring out of the assembly, we even bought an external check valve for the fuel line to help starting..

Calling tomorrow to order one Squash setup for our 9 sec car

cheers

So far the system is working amazing. I am still waiting to get some dyno time. I will post up some before and after fuel pressure logs once I have completed my tune, and have a graph to back it all up.

But so far could not be more happy with this unit.

I researched the 400 lphs, and what was common is you cant run e85 due to something in the pumps, is this true? if not i'll be buying stuff from you pretty soon, looking to build a 700hp weekend car in the next year or two depending on how soon funds come in

Walbro offers two of their "fat-bottom" pumps - one is not rated for E85 use (F90000262) but the other one is (F90000267), and we have zillions of them out there running corn gas all day long. These pumps deal with hot fuel better than all the others, and they are turbine pumps so they are quiet, unlike the old Walbro 255.
