Well you might say that the seller's regard for what he was selling was reflected in the first container he put it............trash bag ? Really?

 

my advise for anyone buying anything expensive and/or heavy is to ask the seller how they are going to package it to insure a safe transit. If they cant answer it or you dont like the answer, dont buy from them.

 

A small wooden crate would be best, just not the cheapest.
Easy to build though. Hell, Even strapped down to a small pallet would have been safer.

 

I built a crate out of broken down small pallets to send my diff half way across the country and back. It was quite easy and very sturdy and safe. It would have been a lot easier and sturdier if I planned the build a little bit, the crate kinda fell to bits when it got back but the contents were in perfect condition.

Crates every time.
