New GGP IX Owner

What's up EvoM? My name is Tyler, and I just recently returned from Afghanistan on a deployment and picked up a GGP IX GSR. Bought the vehicle with 53k miles, it also had a Perrin Intake, and Apexi exhaust w/ downpipe(not sure the brand).

I came from the Honda world owning quite a few Hondas/acuras. Had 3 eg hatches, 1 having a b16, 1 with an ls/vtec, and 1 with a b20! Also owning 2 dc5's(still have one as a beater).

Recently took the car to the well known shop of CBRD in York, PA! I had an Exedy twin disk w/ flywheel installed, Walbro 255 FP installed, 60k service done, and a tune performed. Coming from the Honda world, I didn't want to jump in and tackle such a huge task for my first time touching the car, so I figured I'd pay a great shop to get the work done. Just picked up Volk Te37sl's 18x9.5 +22 from another gentleman on the forum UN-(daasca) for a good price and a local sale! I will be buying tires for them over the winter, either 255/35 or 245/40 as well as coilovers and some other suspension parts come spring time!

Just thought I'd introduce myself as a new forum user and say what's up to everyone! Any constructive criticism or words of wisdom anyone would like to share would be greatly appreciated! I will try and figure out how to upload some pics!

Thanks,
Tyler

Welcome! You chose the right shop to do work for you, even tho I am half a country away I can say ive read good things about cbrd. Great choice on the exedy, im guessing you will want more power later on, and this is a good clutch to start with.

Only thing you might get on here is the 'vtak' in your username haha

Thanks! Yes, I will definitely be looking for more power in the future and should hold up til I desire more. I figured I will get a bunch of crap for the UN, but it's more of a joke.

Sounds like you are on the right path. CBRD is a great shop to take care of you. You are in good hands.

First of all, thank you for your service to our country. Second of all, are you gonna put a spoiler on that?

If my evo wasnt white thats the other color that I always liked since I saw one at a local dealership back in 2006 when I fell in love with evos, that color looks so nice! I envy all the people who live close to CBRD, Map, AWD motorsports, STM and such.

The f$%# he is! Evos are not evos without the stock spoiler. To me they look like a regular lancer.
