Seibon Hood and Hard Liner Issues

well, this thing is losing screws left and right. It seems like I am replacing them all the time. I can't tell you how many times I've opened up the hood just to have it dangle and hang limply from 1 screw and not all 4. It is beginning to become a chore. Now I have to go to the hardware store and get some MORE screws for it. C'mon Seibon, let's get a screw upgrade.

Also, can you please use a real ultraviolet clear coat? Whatever you were using back in 2010 is complete garbage. I have oxidation all over the hood. I'm just going to get it painted over and not resurfaced. I'm so over it.

My car came with a seibon cf oem style hood. Mine had those screws loose as well. Its a horrible design imo. The screws just thread into the fiberglass/cf.

The way I modified mine was to remove the screws, clean the surfaces and apply some rtv sealant to the liner cover piece.

The fading on the clearcoat was so bad I just ended up painting mine to match the color of the rest of the car. You would be surprised how much weight the paint added to the hood.

my car came with the seibon oem style cf hood also. I havent noticed any missing screws but now ima definitely be looking. The guy that owned the car before me put some really cheap mesh in the hood vent and I hate it. i wanted to know if the oem hood vent would work on this hood
