I'm only at about 500 whp but I run the ngk BR8ES and they work great. They are about a 1/2 step colder then the bpr8es because there not the protruding tip. I'm sure your tuner can recommend the correct plug to run at your power level.

BR8ES has worked fine for me at 600whp on mustang, and for people making hundreds more HP.

as far as run smooth like stock, I can't really say- 2.4L, no balance shaft, stiff mounts, less sound deadening, S3's.... not really stock-like in any ways these days

I run NGK br8es gapped to .020". HTA86/e85/35+psi. Gotta remember that if you are gonna run ethanol it is like dropping one heat range on the plugs. NGK coppers are fantastic, and DIRT cheap so keeping a dozen on hand is financially easy to stomach too.

evo 9. I think I'm running stockers. If not the only logical step up which is the Denso IKH24's. I'm over 650HP verified on a mustang dyno.

In NGK's spark plug line-up the 8's are colder than the 7's. I can't speak for every spark plug manufacturer.

I run BPR7ES gaped to .026" using E-85. 36psi, 700hp.

I found out the hard way from Ted B that when using E-85 a hotter plug is highly recommended. If you're using E-85 I'm convinced now that the BPR7ES are the way to go.
