Intercooler spray leaks when i top it up

Hi guys,

I have recently noticed in my IX, that when i fill my intercooler spray bottle up, it leaks from a hose which can be seen from the top of the bottle to just behind the LHS lower grill (im guessing is an overflow tube and thought it was normal). However, the other day when it was parked at a shopping centre, i noticed it was leaking quite considerably, but this time from a different hose... I'm not sure where this hose is connected to but it ends just next to the radiator . The hose does not look severed or broken, it's just an open end. Could it be the hose that connects to the spray nozzle? I don't even know where the spray nozzles are.. I'm not quite sure.

Sorry for the unclear explanation.. I bought this car 2months ago and haven't had time to have a good look inside and underneath..

I will try to get some picture up.

Cheers

Intercooler spray nozzles located around the center opening in the bumper from inside.it leaks because it's too much fluid and these hoses are created to dump fluid outside.

Normal. Look at the bottle for 2 seconds and you'll see why

Sorry, not sure if i explained myself properly. When i fill it up, it seems to flow out of 2 different tubes. There's one that's located halfwayish up the bottle which can be seen. But there its also leaking from another tube which i have no idea where is connected to..

My apologies. There is an overflow like you said if you fill it up it'll dump right out. The other line/lines run down to the two spray nozzles on the bumper as stated above

Hmm, ok. i think maybe one of the hoses has come off the nozzle then. Because it's leaking out of a tube even though the bottle is really low. I can see the tube its leaking out of but it doesn't look cut or severed.

Cheers for that.

You should see the Y connection coming from the nozzles line and connects to the hose from reservoir.maybe it's disconnected somehow.

People on here often say they're pointless. Not true at all! If your FMIC is heatsoaked, it makes all the difference in the world! I had first hand experience in blistering AZ heat many years ago
