need tune?? Noob help

Hey everyone I'm new here this is my first evo. 03 evo 8 I love it it has a few nice mods I bought her about a month ago from a guy and it was all good he told me it would need a tune and so I got on here did research and I checked the car everything healthy but after a while of highway driving at about 65 mph it would stutter like a fuel cut type of thing. I checked around here and most posts said a tune would help. I'm just wondering if that's the case or if my problems really worse. I have a appointment with English to tune on Monday. Thanks for taking your time to help

What mods have been done to the car? Did the previous owner say it needs a "tune" or a "tune up"? Might just need a fresh set of plugs.

Constantly baffles me, the owner told you it needed a tune a month ago but you wait until the night before bringing it to a great tuner to check into the issue now that you have problems. If a set of plugs is the only expense you encounter count yourself lucky. This aint your moms kia.. small mistakes have big prices.

^ I didn't have any luck with the BPRxES. My car broke up at higher RPM's. I run the BR8ES...

op, I had similar issue not long ago, every time I hit boost at around 4K in any gear the car would stutter and had problems getting boost, I put some fresh fuel in it, 93oct, fuel injector cleaner, ran half a tank and then added another one, problem got a lot better and wasn't doing it as much or as bad, changed my spark plugs, problem got even more better, did a compression test, showed good result, then changed plugs for cylinder 1 and 3 and now the problem went away. I only changed plugs for 1 and 3 is because when the check engine light came on it showed those cylinders misfiring.

I would recommend the br7es or the br8es if you want a plug 1 step colder. My advise would be to ask English what they recommend you run.
