Wheels

Can some send me the link for wheel fitment guides? I'm a "dummie" when it comes to this. I have been running stock setup wheel wise a while. I was looking at the XXR 527's. Don't know what will fit the car though. I'd like 18's x ____ no idea.... I want 18's cuz they look nicer. Don't know anything about spacing, offsets, etc, or where to begin reading and learning about those! Thanks for all the help!

I believe the offsetd offered in the xxrs are pretty aggressive for evo 8/9. For 18x9.5, you want offsets between +20s to +30s. Anything under +20 really starts to require a lot of fender work. Then you have to always consider that the fronts may require a spacer cause of the brembos. So that will greatly affect which wheel and offset you choose.

lets start you off with saving your money and not buying XXR's or any other inferior quality wheel.

^^^^^^ dont listen to this dude. I recently switched my 527's for a different look but I had my xxr's for about a year and never had a problem, just one thing get hub centrics! My set up was 17 8.25 on 245/45r17 lowered on coilovers with a little fender roll.

At first when people bashed XXR I just thought people where being snobby at a cheap wheel at looks as good as the expensive ones. But they really are trash. I bought the XXR 522s last summer, and as beautiful as they were, I bent 3 wheels on separate occasions. Now, I've never had a bent wheel in my life. But then I buy these things and bend 3 wheels in a timespan of maybe 4 months. I'm not sure if it's the concave design that gives less strength to the outside of the wheels, but those wheels ****ing sucked. Will never buy XXRs again.
