Starting mods on Evo

When I first get my evo I'm thinking about following mods:
boost controller, exhaust, downpipe, intake, springs, afc.
Which brands do you guys recommend? and any other additions to my starting mods?
I thought I was gonna get G35 but I feel that its too slow for me.. I don't have much knowledge in Evo's as I do in subarus or G's, so help me out~
thnx~

first you should get 3in turboback (3in dwonpipe, 3in high flow cat, and 3in catback), then boost controler G-reddy BSpec II is the cheapest $300 or HKS EVC V for $550, then ECU flash(Dynoflash is cheapest $200 but you have to mail it in with the mods you have on) and maybe later you can consider getting new cams, HKS 264's are best for daily driving

with the cam installation, you gotta check with your local tuner expect something around $250-$300 because they take about 6-9hrs,

HKS is by far the best because it's much simpler to use than both of them, AVC-R is the most complex one (it has like 4 boost settings), the profec e-01 I don't know much about it, but most people prefer the HKS unit over all

why not do this...

Why go thru the alphabet soup of electronic goodies when u can accomplish all that and more with swapping out the ECU with an AEM ecu? That way if u need to go back to stock... all u need to do is swap out one part?

I would suggest:

1) Guages (Boost + EGT)
2) Wide Band O2 sensor with display to read it when you get your ECU
3) Now that you are ready to tune... you can get the go fast parts.
4) BOV, Airfilter, DP, Test Pipe, exhaust, External wastegate, and fuel pump upgrade.

enjoy your ride

C-ya,
Faz

FIRST MOD ALWAYS, boost gauge. You don't know what's going on, or if something's going wrong without one. Should be every turbo'd cars mod. EGT is also handy to have. I wouldn't get a wideband if you plan on doing just a mild street tune, or if you're not even planning to tune yourself. EGT can do the job if you want to do a mild tune

If you plan on keeping relatively "normal" boost ranges, 19-21, you do NOT need to upgrade the BOV. The BOV holds boost fine for "stock" levels. I've been running my stocker at 21.5 for ages now with no drop off or anything, runs perfect. Turning it up higher with race gas is a different story .

As for real performance mods, a 3" turboback is your best bet. Great gains, easy to do, helps your turbo spool, just a good idea. Check the engine/turbo/drivetrain for some good choices in there.

From there, you can add an AFC, boost controller, fuel pump (good idea to upgrade), whatever you want
