Had a idea today to have my USDM rear bumper reflectors painted Wicked white to match the car. Wondering if anyone else has done this? Thoughts? I know a lot of BMW guys do this.
yeah you just have a paint shop color match the reflector, you can still see the outline of the reflector but it blends with the car. I just sold my JDM bumper and got a USDM one, not used to the reflector. Think painting it would be the best bet lol.
I think it will look like crap. The red in the reflector should match the red in your taillight, unless you've smoked them. Painting the reflector white will make it look incorrect as there will be a body line for no reason.
Cover the reflector in masking tape and paint it white. Then if you don't like it you can just pull the tape off. No harm, no foul.

I just used night shades on those. Already have an electric blue and black thing going on.
well painting over tape i cant imagine it looking right, and night shading wouldnt look right on my car cause its white. i have jdm evo 7 tails, so the reflector look ok, just a thought of color matching.

Dude the blacked out look is sexy on white cars. And Nah the jdm rear is better but I can't afford it.
Since you have the VII tails I suggest rocking out the red reflectors. I've got VII tails and the stock red reflectors on my AS VIII. I left the chrome housing headlights and added Rexpeed amber sides and it all works together. Orange up front, red out back. Black housings look good, blacked out lenses belong in the 80s/90s.
