How many miles to brake in a new clutch?

How many miles to brake in a new clutch?

Hey guys... Simple question, im about to install a comp clutch stage 4 on my evo 9 and wondering how many miles usually takes the clutch to "brake in"... Thanks!

Usually 500 is recommended

It's in the literature they send you with the clutch. My 3.5 says 500 miles required to "break" it in.

I've done 700-800 miles and drive like youre next to a cop.

I usually read 500 but it's better to be over than under. I give it a little more than that.

It all depends on how and where you drive it. All highway driving will take forever, stop and go traffic not so much.

I did about 300 miles of highway driving on my Exedy Twin, then started having some fun with it. Currently the clutch has 27k miles on it and still grabs very well. But then again, I don't drive like an idiot or launch the car at every stop.

I did 250 on my comp clutch sane here I don't drive like a animal

I went up to 650 just to make sure, but it has to be stop and go per what they told me.
also did that with my sti
