Question Evo IX Hid bulb

Hey guys can i simply replace a stock 4300k HID bulb with a 6000k HID bulb?

I'm pretty sure, just make sure its the correct size (d2s) and wattage (35w or 55w) i cant remember

35W is stock wattage

6k is pointless, i wouldnt go any higher than 5k or you're just reducing night visibility

4300k is "pure white" and what bmw, lexus, etc etc run in their lights (sometimes 4100k though i think)

4300k or 5000k are the best in my opinion. 6000k is entirely to blue and and start losing visibility. I have 5000k on my Prius and some 4300k on my Lancer. Yes 35W is what you need as well. The Retrofit Source has a nice assortment if bulbs.

But if your on tighter budget they sell the Morimoto ones which are cheaper, and heard they perform just as well with the reviews on the website.

4300-6000 is what most people like.

4300k will provide more light with a whiter output.
5000k has a slight blue look to it, but barely visible while driving.
6000k is more blue, but still seems white when driving. Anything after that you start losing visibility.

4300k is stock

i have the morimoto bulbs from retrofit source, 35w 5000k but i didn't have stock bulbs in the car when i bought it. i like the 5000k best

i have 03 with hid projector factory installed, i already bought a hid kit do i need to delete the factory hid ballasts and install mine or does it just like plug inline with the factory ballast?

Should have just bought the bulbs. No need for HID kit for a car with stock HIDs. Unless you know your ballasts are bad.
