Dilemma

So here we are. Likely reiterated 100k times on here, but I need advice. Anyone who was in my shoes please chime in.

My first Subaru was my Dads 86 GL Wagon. He drove it in the ground and I bulldozed it to 421k miles. My second was a 96 Legacy L sedan. No mods, just upgraded stereo. 02 WRX was next and awesome. Super quick and fun. 07 WRX Ltd stock.

To modding we go. 07 STi Blouch 20GXT, catless TBE, injectors, all the standard stuff. This car was nuts.

13 STi Ltd w/all the bells and whistles. Bought new. Blouch 20GXT, Catless TBE, injectors, all the neat stuff except eng internals (save injectors), 3 maps, yada yada.

I have always liked evos and I think it's more than awesome you get about double HP/TQ gains per $ spent.

I guess my question is, should I change over to the Japanese brother from another mother? I love my Subi... But data is data and my wife is pissed that I want to dump thousands in my car, lol. Regardless, it's going to happen. What are your candid thoughts?

Thanks!

Haha, I wish! I suppose the mods cost the same or close to it, but the power gained is 1/4 to 1/2 more per mod it would seem. I have also been researching a bit and see a lot of guys well over 22 psi and max I've seen is 45 psi. That'd be a bad day in my STi. Well, fun for about 6-9 seconds then nuclear meltdown.

I'm leaning towards 8-9 MR. Seems the price is right and a lot are still in decent condition.
