e85+dailydriven+oil interval

Those of you who run e85 in your car, what type of oil do you use and why? How long do you run the oil in your car before you change it ? Thanks in advance

I only use Mobil 1 and im kinda picky so I change my oil every 2k and everything is clean, I have 5qts of Amsoi and an Amsoil oil filter for my next oil change just to try it. Read this!

Nope and I'm not gonna worry about it and I'm certainly not going to change it any more often than that. I think if you start changing the weight and all that you are probably doing more harm than good.

I run zrod in mine and have zero issues. The zinc in my opinion in zrod is extra protection. I change my oil every 3000.

Brad Penn 20-50 with built motor, I change it every 3000...

I did run the Amsoil Z-Rod 20-50 for around a year, but it gets pretty thin compared to the brad penn...

I would recommend a proper baffled catch can when on e85. Running e85 can create some contamination in the oil quickly. I run 20-50 Vr1 and have heard great things on Brad Penn oil. Depending on ring gap and how well your engine is sealing 1500-2000 miles if you beat on your car often. Its cheap insurance.
I'd also recommend a tank of regular gas every so often to cycle thru the system. I know in the southeast the fuel contamination can be an issue with the humidity.
