It's not for everyone, but if you enjoy dry weather, sun almost every day, hot women, cheap beer, nice houses, smooth roads, tons of entertainment, restaurants, shows, mountains, no state income taxes come on over.

And Monday night games start at 6:00 here.
At least you have teams. This city probably will never see pro teams due to sports betting. The NFL hates this town. they refused to allow Las Vegas to buy ad time during the Superbowl even though they had the cash to buy the spots. And they threatend to sue the casinos due to their superbowl parties on large screens. Said it was a copywrited program.
That's one thing this city does not have is culture. There are no real museums, historic buildings, a real downtown, theater district, ornate churches, skyscrapers, subways. Every time some building in this town gets old, they blow it up
If you can get work here, it's fine, but most jobs are casinos, construction and small business owners. Mostly blue collar.

you guys want a laid back state...hawaii would take it with no questions....people that have live in hawaii know it...i just feel trapped when im there every summer ...i get bored too fast
Not to hijack, but the guys wondering about their brake rotors should do a search on "shuddering" and/or "rotors". Try to find the link to a company called "stoptec" (I think that was the name), in one of the posts. It explains clearly about our issue. It's uneven deposits from the OEM pads which are too soft even for street use.
Back to the thread now- My "home" dealership Max Madsen in the burbs of Chicago is lousy. Went to Sycamore yesterday and they seemed pretty cool.....so far.

I have lived in ohio most of my life. I took off for six years to serve in the usmc. I came back in discust. I hate the N.E. and will be getting out of here soon. I dont recommend living here either.
although i didnt buy my evo from the la jolla mitsubishi.. i did have a good experience with them.. i wouldnt advocate them as A+ dealer but they were definetly courteous...
Dude, La Jolla is my dream town, then PB. For those who heve never been, you must visit. I would kill to live there, except every house, even a shack is over $1 million. Man, I'm planning a weekend trip there soon. I need my fix.
Mifesto, you are in East Brunswick? My parents live in North Brunswick. They want to head west when they retire. They can't stand the NJ taxes. Their house property tax went from $2500/yr to over $13,000/yr over the last 15 yrs. That's nuts. That's over 1000 a month just in taxes, not mortgage payment. Sick.

Yeah my main problem in vegas thinking is my job title. I seriously doubt there are many places that need parts room managers there.... Im sure if they did i could make some crazy money... Perhaps i should look at a car dealership at their parts counter
maybe mitsubishi? hmmm discounts? its an option none the less... Im sure in vegas there arent many factories like the one i work in now. Basically i just manage factory machine parts here... which transalates into me typing on this forum quite often....

It's the lifestyle over there. Can't get enough of it. And the local music scene
