I was wondering if anybody has bought a wing off ebay that is not an OEM wing but a "Certified OEM replacement"? My evo didn't come with a wing and I really want it to have the stock wing look, will I regret not spending the extra on OEM?

 

My opinion would be to buy a used one off the forums. Ive seen them go from 60-200 depending on condition.

 

That's what I'm thinking too, but I can't post in the for sale section yet. Would I be better off going with a 9 wing because of the 8's clearcoat issues?

 

I personally like the VIII wings more because they are full carbon fiber. With some elbow grease you can fix the clearcoat issues. Purchase a used one from someone on the forums, I am sure there are some available right now.

 

I've PM'd a couple people. an 8 one with clearcoat problems was already sold for 80 bucks

 

I have an apex silver trunk and wing off an evo 8, The wing i had repainted to be solid silver. If your interested pm me, i went wingless so its already off, I didnt think about selling it until now.
