I took an off ramp from the freeway,just as a heavy downpour started,and I braked pretty hard and the car just hydroplaned,spun around,hit a pole and flipped once...we landed in a storm water ditch with water flooding the whole car.Luckily the airbags popped,with my side airbag burning my arm.My yorkie and friend were in the car with me,but we're all ok.Very lucky to be alive...

Yes very,If we landed on the roof we would have drowned for sure.

It was insured for "Retail value",but they don't know that here in SA we only had 50 Evo IX's.So they sell for almost the price they cost new,and the value they've got is a ridiculous amount.So I just laughed and got a lawyer....

Wow im reading this on 2017 and i can still feel ur pain,, hope u moved on buddy, sorry for the loss

 

Yip it was really hard for a year after that especially because i still owed the bank money and had to pay the installment every month. But slowly got over it and am doing fine now. I bought a Mitsu pajero 3.2 DI-D a year ago and enjoy the outdoors, camping and festivals...photography is my passion so yeah my life has turned around for the better.

Still miss the evo very much though.
