Hey so I just got an evo 8 wing with virtually no clear coat issues, it is mint. If i wax the **** out of it all the time will it stay that way, or can I basically expect it to fade and look like crap eventually?

 

Expect it to fade eventually it inevitable. Same goes for anything with a clear coat finish. It's just the clearcoat Mitsubishi uses is cheap as **** and fades a lot quicker. You can preserve it for quite a long time by keeping it out of the sun, garaging the car ect...but it will fade eventually depending on how much it's outside, whether it's your daily or not...you can always get it re cleared at a body shop tho

 

If you keep it out of direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time it will last forever. UV-blocking wax will help too but the sun is about the only thing you have to worry about.

 

well thats depressing but I only paid 100 bucks for it so I guess if it fades oh well, I'll just get it recleared properly. It is my daily too. I will just try to preserve it as well as I can.

 

Always garaged but mine is coming off at the leading edge I suppose from rock chips. So always garaged isn't the answer either.
