help out evo friend
help out evo friend
Hey I got 04 evo 8 that I love
I had this already but today was serious
My number fuel ratio mix goes down lower then 10 and car starts to choke and dies
when I start hit throttle and rev it a little to like 6k car starts to work normal no choke no cut of any kind and number is 13 and up all works but then I drive for couple min and then again cuts fuel or no idea but number goes down and almost no throttle respons around 3k
Any help what would that be fuel pump ? I think its something different

If the AFR is going to 10 when its doing this that means its getting too much fuel, it seems like you wrote that you think its not getting enough fuel. Does it do this all the time or more when the car is warming up only? You can try bypassing the fuel solenoid by putting the vaccum line directly from the fpr to the manifold and if it doesn't fix the issue you could always change it right back. That solenoid dumps in more fuel for cold starts so if youre getting random issues where too much fuel is getting dumped in for no reason (i.e. a 10 AFR) I would start there.

Don't be rude about it man. OP, like others have said if your AFR is reading 10 your definitely getting fuel, too much actually. Is your car pulling any codes in a service engine soon light?
How do u know the AFR is 7? I thought almost all widebands stop around 10. Try bypassing your fuel pressure solenoid and see if the issue goes away. My tuner bypassed mine and I've never had an issue with it. He said most ppl bypass that anyways. Or if it feels like only 3 cylinders are firing maybe its a plug coil or a wire? Did you pull the plugs to see if they're fouled at all yet?
