My stock cd player died!

Was driving around with a lady friend of mine and while we were talking I noticed that the cd that I had been listening to had ejected, I thought to myself "That's odd, I didn't push the eject button, maybe she did". Later that night I dropped her off and put in some System of a Down in to jam and heard a faint "click, click, click" sound, then my display read "ER 01" and shot the disc out again. Tried all of my cd's and still did the same. Took it to my dealer, who by the way has the best service department in all of Texas , and they ordered me a new one without any questions. Anyone else experience this?

I didn't want to have to deal with it so that's why it was one of the first things to go, things hunk o sh*t. If you're under warranty, that's cool, but otherwise go aftermarket.

I rather enjoy my stock stereo, serves it's purpose and is not too loud to drown out the sound of my engine which is mostly what I listen for when driving the car anyway, it's just such a purdy note.

i like the stock stereo also... i used to have all aftermarket stuff in my eclipse and my car just got broken into over and over at school so i'm enjoying the stock system in the Evo, plus I think it's a good system for a stock 30k car.
