Center Console

Anybody know how to make the center console look nice again on an evo 8. The fabric is wearing off really bad from my elbow always being on it and I dont want to spend the cash on the carbon fiber one.

I am waiting for some pieces to come in. I bought a set of redlinegoods leather products and I can give you a review once they are in my hands.

Lancershop.com sells them too or you can order a used leather one from tae in Florida. Or you could also get the carbon fiber cover for it to make it look nice again. It just covers up the fabric with a solid carbon fiber piece.

i bought micro suede from fabric store 1'x1',took apart the old cover and gave it to seamstress at dry cleaners. and then I glued edges where needed, put all screws back.total was $30.doesn't look like original piece but looks definitely clean and neat.

I redid mine using alcantara so that they match the seats. I also made a shift boot with red stitching to match the seats.

It's pretty easy. borrow your wife's sewing machine, pull the fabric off yours to make a pattern, then cut and sew a new one.

Please don't use cheap fabric, as it just looks well "cheap"
