Full Blown Throttle Body

So I installed a new 70mm Full Blown Throttle Body on my ported/matched stock intake manifold and I'm wondering about the position of the plate inside.
Bolting up the throttle cable bracket in the same place, the cable is tight and throttle body plate is slightly opened.

I'm guessing the plate should be fully closed. Any ideas??

Follow the cable away from the TB. There should be a bracket with 2 bolts that allow you to take slack out of the cable. Or add some in your case.

If you check the how-to for TB shaft seals there is a picture of it in there.

The only way I can add some slack is to use only one of the bolts for the cable bracket. I'm not sure if using just one bolt will be good enough.
If I use the two bolts on that bracket at its max point it will leave the throttle plate 15% open.

Can't you add some slack on the pedal side of the cable?

No matter what you dont want the throttle open when installed. Double check everything and maybe do some searching for others with similar issues. Worst case a small bracket to move the throttle cable over could be made but that seems a little extreme for a "bolt on" throttle body.

I have to figure something out, it seems if i use only on bolt on the cable bracket the throttle body is closed buy the cable is loose too much.
If I use the two brackets at its max points the throttle body is slightly open and cable is too tight. I need to find that sweet spot but Im guessing it might require an additional bracket under the OEM cable bracket.

Is there a way to get some more length out of the throttle cable?

No. Just remember the cable doesnt need to be tight when its secured. You just need to make sure when someone floors the gas pedal the tb opens 100%. There may be some slop in the cable that is acceptable.
