Chris,

I have been waiting 2 months plus for the Gialla, HKS, or the C-West. I told vendors I would buy whatever comes in first, and I am to the point where I dont care, just need something fast..

Chris,

I would love to help, but we have no C-West in stock. We just keep various engine, wheels and suspension components in stock. We rarely, if ever stock, aero pieces. We'll be stocking a few HKS Kansai bumpers, but that's about it. I hope Snir can help you out.

BTW, the HKS Kansai bumper is about even with the stock skirts. Looks great with them.

Chris

Bump out of frustration...

At least I found some blue 100mph tape to match the bumper. It looks nasty though. I'll just tell people I crashed at the track... LOL

Latest update:

GEICO did their estimate: $1856 in damage, but that includes a replacement wheel at $500+. I have to pay my deductible (subtracted from my check), but I should still be doing well enough to cover a new bumper and paint, etc. Fortunately the wheel well plastic, undertray and cooling panel are not too expensive. I'll probably just source those from my local Mitsu dealer (Stohlman) with my 20% DC Evo Club discount. It will suck to drive around with a ghetto taped-up bumper for a little while, but the end result should be sweet. It's down to HKS Kansai with the carbon-fiber center or the Gialla bumper with the carbon fiber brake ducts. Which one should I order???

I would get the Kansai. The Gialla does not support larger intercoolers than stock without cutting it up. Also, you need to fab something to get the intercooler sprayers on, you have to take out the bumper beam, and its lower than the stock side skirts.

you are going to lose the bumper support with any of the units...no avoiding that

If special ordered, anything will take 6-8 weeks...sometimes it can be 4, but you want to err on the side of caution. Out of the ones available I have found C West the hardest to realistcally get quickly. We are working on something to get them here quicker, but its not quite done yet, and we do not expect the arrangement to be finalized for another 30-60 days.

W can certainly do air freight on any of them, but you are looking at some major pricing...but for S&G, I'll call our shipping firm tomorrow and give them the measurements of the boxes, and see what they would charge door to door from our distributor in Japan direct to you.

Will let you know as soon as I know

I saw you put that truck tire out in the middle of the street!

Chris...if there are any vendor/suppliers out here in SoCal you would like me to check for the bumper, just let me know.

SC - It was actually the wheel hub from an 18-wheeler!! The center with the lugs was still attached to the truck, but the whole hub and tire came off and was dead in the center of the lane. Nice... I thought it was just a tire until I heard the metal "clank". Not good...

Vendors: What I need is a realistic turn-around time to give the body shop. If it's going to take 8 weeks, then so be it. Also, my biggest concern now is that the front bumper does not hang too much lower than the sides and rear bumper. Which of the HKS/Monster/Gialla ones fit the bill the best?

Thanks again.

Chris
