Manifold input

Anyone running this manifold?
Seems pretty cheap, quality of welds look ok and the material seems good.

Just wondering what ppl think

Was wondering this also even though im sure its still the same junk XS-POWER has been pumping out for years. But for about the same price i would get a FP cast and be done with it, would have no need to wory about it cracking.

I think there's no such thing as cheap and cheerful. It's either cheap and a pain in the *** to constantly repair, or moderately priced with no issues in the future.

Spend the extra money and buy a manifold that you know for sure won't give you any issues

well it looks different from the normal crap they make. Welds seem better materials seem better also. I've done abit of searching and it seems to be a copy of the JMF manifold.

Just wondering if anyone got one as someone brought one online and what their thoughts were.

Otherwise i am looking at either a toxic fab or MXP one with the heat shield.

P.S things are more expensive down under.... especially when it comes to shipping

I bet the shipping can be insane down there, but that doesn't mean you should sacrifice parts for you car

keep an eye out in the classifieds section, there's a lot of good deals that pop up in there.

Either or, both very good. Toxic products are too beautiful to be mounted on an engine lol

I did allot of work my friends SVO mustang, this is a stock turbo 4 cylinder if you've never heard of it before. He got a chea[ ebay exhaust manifold, I thought it actually looked damn nice, good bracing, nice welds (I'm a welder). We ran it, I had the car running nice on 27 psi on 93 and 3 days at this boost level the entire wastegate tube ripped off while we were driving it. Not at a weld either. A significant and important aspect of this that you cannot see is the metallurgy. Part of the reason it is cheaper is because of the base materials they are starting with, I've had other ebay manifolds on dsms hold up under lower boost that had an easier life. If you are really gonna push it a cheap manifold WILL break, it's not a matter of if but when. This one is clearly made of nice thick metal so it will probably last longer than most but you still must wonder what the source of those specific pipes are. A real ss steam pipe type manifold will cost nearly that simply in supplies so where's the profit?

Spend the same amount of money and have a stock manifold ported by a good shop, maybe have it coated as well. OEM manifolds have a long history of making good numbers with just porting alone.

It's a gamble buying no name manifolds on eBay, and not worth the headache in my opinion. (Headache = fitment, cracks, warped sub-standard flanges, failures like mentioned above).
