Agency power exhaust?
Is anyone running the agency power exhaust? Ive been searching and really can't find much about it. I'm mainly interested in the build quality of the exhaust. I'm still debating on picking up a tomei expreme exhaust but I don't like how it tapers down too much near the cat. I've read that the agency power sticks out far with the JDM rear but id like to see some pics of it un modified. I really couldn't find any other readily available titanium exhaust options either but i would like to replace my ams exhaust with something new.

this exhaust is super loud, sounds nice at WOT, pretty nice color to it if you're into that jdm titanium bling, and sticks out a good amount on the jdm rear and will burn the left side of the exhaust cutout on the bumper so modification is needed
im glad you asked!
i recently had the same dilemma as you. And was shopping like crazy to find something.
Allow me to point out a few facts that i had learnt during my recent research.
Mind you these are two very different designs.
TOMEI
Pros:
* its literally the LIGHTEST exhaust you will ever find in the aftermarket.
weighing at 4.4KG (9.7lbs) (the stock set up weighs 16kg / 35.27lbs) That is just crazy light!
Basically a vehicle weight reduction modification as well as an exhaust modification.
* with the pipework, they used Clamps instead of flanges. This was obviously one of the methods they used to reduce unnecessary weight. This can be a good or a bad thing, but I believe clamps can be beneficial for easier dismantling.
* If you are talking about "build quality", look no further than the Tomei. Its a renowned brand, the workmanship on pretty much all their products are brilliant. I have seen these up close. and the welds are a masterpiece.
Tomei are known to manufacture quality vehicle parts, it should not be questioned.
* Keep in mind, the Tomei Expreme is COMPLETELY is titanium. The pipework and muffler. You will pretty much NOT find another complete titanium exhaust for the modest price Tomei is asking. Other brands such as HKS, AMUSE charge somewhere like $1000 - $2000 more than Tomei. This is also why it is so light.
* They offer two types for the EVO, The USDM bumper as well as JDM bumper…
So you will not worry about fitment. Most likely you will be able to do it yourself as it should be a direct Bolt-On. (clamp on)
*it looks great!, very nice finish. To me it personally, looks better than the Invidia, Apexi, HKS, Fujitsubo, Tanabe & Agency Power.
Cons:
* For me, the noise factor deterred me. It is one of the LOUD ones on the market.
Titanium metal can be slightly louder than other metals. But the main culprit to that is the fact they do NOT supply a resonator!!! All manufacturers supply one but for some reason they skimped on it. But they did advertise the exhaust as "Race".
* Being full Titanium, if you don't like the noise. It would be difficult to fabricate it and add resonators. ( i looked around and it appears that NO exhaust shops in Aust knows or has the equipment to weld Titanium) Apparently it has to be weld a certain way too.
In USA it may be different, i believe there are people that can. but that would be your choice whether you would want an extra headache in searching around just to make something right.
By the way, the pipework does not taper and is 3" diameter.
Agency power
Pros:
* The muffler is titanium ONLY, the rest of the pipework is stainless steel. Its a lot quieter in comparison to the Tomei Expreme. It comes equipped with a resonator. And if you don't like the noise. pretty much any exhaust shop can TIG weld stainless by cutting and welding a larger resonator.
Cons:
* Too much purply colour, than the popular conventional titanium burnt look.
* The fitment is very very questionable and is just a grey-area. I believe it is an American brand. The design may be modelled for the USDM.(not one of the popular brands, That is why you don't find much media at this stage). However, there are videos of JDM bumper as well as pictures showing the Agency power exhaust. But it is unclear whether it has been modified to suit.
I have heard rumours of them not even fitting the USDM 100%. And the JDM bumper is more lenient on adjustments. And some say that it is a bit long… but there is no pictures to justify how long it sticks out. I would like to see too as i like exhaust sticking out of the bumper. ( i personally think the exhausts designed for USDM that stop at the bumper look horrible, and you end up having to stick a heat shield.)
Look i hope this helps.
From what you've been posting, I believe you will be better off with the Tomei. Since you aren't worried about the sound, like the Titanium look and is worried about fitment.
Anyhow, good luck on your choice and let us know how you go.

downpipes. Im sure I've seen one with the Dump pipe aka o2 housing aka turbo outlet built onto the down pipe…eliminating the weight for the flange. But these things are stainless.

I originally wanted to get a tomei downpipe but I already have an aftermarket o2 housing so I didn't wanna replace it. I ended up buying a tomei expreme exhaust from a local shop/vendor on EvoM. I just need to find time to go pick it up lol.

Picked up my tomei exhaust today actually. It does taper down to 70mm where it bolts to the cat/test pipe but other then that it's 80mm. The welds are definitely a work of art.
hmmm the taper is not what the company advertises or mentions.
Other than the slight taper, i guess taking the good with the bad… you won't find another full titanium exhaust anywhere near that price.
will you be keeping it?
I'm sure you noticed the weight?, It looks damn sexy!
(By the way, i like the Ralliart lip)

Yea i should have taken a picture but you can see a slight taper on the mid pipe. Like I said its minor and with the weight savings I would say it equals out. It's an extremely light piece. I never knew metal could be so light.
It took me a long time to find a Ralliart lip. It's my favorite piece on my evo.

yeah I've got the non ralliart factory painted lip that came with a performance pack.
Worse comes to worse, eventually you may be able to get a Titanium welder to correct that section. In Aus, were behind…
since it will be a perfect snug fit for your EVO and bumper… will you having a go at it yourself?
I might consider doing that when I run a bigger turbo. I don't think it's gonna restrict the power much right now. I'll be installing it this weekend. I just have to remove my AMS turbo back. Unfortunately the downpipe I ordered won't be in till next Wednesday so I won't be able to hear how the Tomei sounds.
Good choice. Are you the one I texted pics of the agency power exhaust? I was in the same boat as you with these two exhaust. Reason I went with the AP was my clutch was going out so I decided to save 450 to put towards the clutch.
Yea that was me. I could have got a steal on a agency power exhaust with a downpipe but I got the tomei for a good price so I went with it. I didn't wanna have to deal with bringing it to a shop to modify it. If I could have welded it myself, I would have bought it.
