With breathing mods, a conservative tune and some really light weight reduction, do you think I'll see better than 270mpg?

- Turbo-back exhaust
- 3.5in FMIC with LICP
- Grimspeed 3-port and Hallman running hybrid boost
- BB FP Green
- Kelford 272 or GSC S2
- ARP Headstud
- Boost gauge and wideband
- Ported intake manifold and exhaust manifold
- Seals on throttle body
- 02 housing with dump or recirc
- MR Bilstein suspension w/sway bar and Swift springs
- DIY rear-diff mod
- Remove restricter pill in slave cylinder
- Dual MAP switch 93 oct. and E85
Also what is the purpose of running both a MBC and EBS?

Yeah your gas mileage will jump just with a base tune on your vehicle. When you run hybrid boost (depending on the flow of your turbo) it will cut down boost taper quite a bit.

Ah. I think I'll just go with a GS EBCS for now.

So here is what I'm thinking:
  • 264 hks cams
  • Retainers and springs
  • New OEM Timing Belt
  • New OEM Timing Belt Tensioner
  • ETS Air Intake Kit
  • BR Full 3" Turboback exhaust
  • GS EBCS
  • BR 3" Mandrel Bent SCCA Legal S.S. Catback w/ Magnaflow
  • BR 3" Mandrel Bent, S.S. down-pipe
  • Walbro 255lph fuel pump
  • FIC 850 Injectors
  • ECU Reflash
  • ETS Intercooler Kit (stock battery flow)
  • Wideband
  • Dual MAP switch 93 oct. and 91 oct.
  • Ported Throttle Body
  • Ported Intake Manifold.
  • BR Exhaust Manifold Porting and Jet Coating
  • Haven't chosen a turbo yet.
  • EVOSCAN 7" Droid w/ 1.3U Cable.

Ideas? Crititique?

I'd save your money on the intake manifold and throttle body. The stock manifold can easily get you to your power goal if you port it out. With the money from the manifold/tb I'd get injectors and see if you can find a used evo 9 turbo or used fp red. If you're going to be doing the timing belt you might as well do the full 60k service and get the water pump, balance shaft belt etc. swapped out.

Injectors are on my list, but I am still learning about them. Not sure what I need exactly.

The FP red was one of the ones I had heard good things about.

Skip on the intake manifold and tb, just get your stock ones ported by Curt Brown, Also you will want bigger than HKS 264 cams get something like HKS 280's or anything under 11mm of lift so you can use factory valve train the 264's are useless. FP green or BBK Full will you get your power level on 93 quite happily.

You will need injectors though so that will need to be added to your list

I haven't heard anything about the HKS 280s. How is the idle? Kelfords 272's were my next idea. I want street ability, since I plan on having this car in multiple countries/states.

Running into more of a tuning issue, more than a mechanical one...

How should I be upgrading the car in relation to tuning it?
Once I go past the Intake, I'm going to need to retune every time I add something, and since this is my DD, I feel like this will get expensive since I have no tuning knowledge myself... any advice?
