Im a noob when it comes to suspension i totally skipped that class, i want to buy KYB SR Special Shock absorbers pic of them below, reasons for this before anyone asks why i don't get Coilovers well they are illegal in Australia (you cant have height adjustable coil-overs), and every mod or change i have done to my car i try to keep it legal or stealthed out as possible. So my question is i have K-Sport coilovers and lets just say i dont like them or better they dont suit my tastes atm, but can i use the spring and top mounts from that and call it a day ?

 

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to use the springs. They're much smaller than the oem type springs in diameter.

 

Ah i see that makes sense so springs a no go, but i should be able to reuse the ksport top mount ?

 

the top mounts should work i had hks pillow ball mounts on my stock kyb shocks for awhile i have to say tho that i eventually switched them back to the stock mounts as the road noise being transmitted to the car with the hks mounts was just a little too much soo much nycer with the stockers and it feels more compliant over rough roads not so harsh feeling through the wheel either
