hey guys i was getting tuned yesterday and my tuner said he had good news and bad news. good news was that my turbo isnt stock and he thinks its an early fp green or 20g turbo, but the bad news is that my car will not make any power over 270 and seems to fall on its face after 5k rpm. i have basic bolt ons and should be seeing 310 or more now that we know the turbo isnt stock. we did a boost leak test and i have no leaks up to 25psi, checked compression and that was 160/160/170/170 so that was fine and my spark plugs and wire check out. does anyone have any ideas what could be causing me to lose so much power? any help would be great. my tuner and i are stumped right now

yeah as far as i could tell, im sure my tuner would have caught that on the logs but he didnt see any irregularities

 

anyone else have any input?

 

talked with my tuner, fuel cut doesnt start til after redline and im holding boost throughout the rev range so the wastegate is doing its job. still stumped

 

Might be a collapsed cat in the exhaust causing a massive flow restriction.

 

i have full catless turboback :\

 

maybe a kitty cat crawled in there and is stuck :X

 

that would suck haha but i dont think its blocked since i just had the exhaust off a couple weeks ago replacing the gaskets to the test pipe

 

After 6k rpms the old fp green will just be blowing hot air.

Have you checked the TPS?

 

Are you able to do any pulls and post some logs?

 

Logs, graphs, anything you can post?
