Question AMS Intercooler Evo 9 front bumper??

Can someone out there in Evo cyber space tell me how the f**k are you supposed to fit the Evo 9 bar with the AMS front mount and pipes? Please see attached pics.

I mean these instructions mention the bolts on the corner but the pipes are right in front of the path of the left and right side mesh screws and plastic moulding???

unbolt the upper portion of your UICP, then affix the lower portion of the UICP to the front mount. why don't you have your bumper off for this??

I had a CWEST bar on it before AMS was already installed, so I thought this swap would be a breeze.

Even if you unbolt the UICP from the turbo side the damn molding is dead center of the IC inlet.

Do you have the spacer on the top bolt installed? I have the same core but on a 8 with injen piping. It was a little pain in the *** to get the lower to work. If I remember there was three couplings with the kit. The injen kit will be gone and replaced with AMS upper and lower piping.

The flange under the hood latch has no spacer just the flange and bolt.

So the OEM EVO 9 front bumper is hitting the intercooler pipes?

I have installed many of our kits on EVO 9s and never had an issue.

On second look it looks like you have our race intercooler. The instructions you are looking at are for the stock fitment intercooler.

With the race intercooler there is trimming required to clear the 3" intercooler pipes.

See below.

No, a dremel will melt he plastic more than anything. We typically use an air saw like this: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...2060_200422060

Plus I never knew AMS had 2 types of cores stock fitment core and race core. So do you just sell the race core on your website now?
