Issues after catch can install.

http://youtu.be/3x9kZkcSYl8

The link is a video I made about 20 minutes ago. Installed my catch can today, and now when I hit above 10 psi in 3/4 throttle it sounds like a machine gun. The weird thing is, I still build boost like nothings wrong. Not sure if I hooked up something wrong or what. I replaced the piece on the back of the valve cover with a -10 an fitting that was made by a member on here. Not sure what the deal is. If anyone has any guesses or can help, I will much appreciate it.

That's the plan, but technically shouldn't I not still be building boost if I have a leak?

You can still build boost with a leak.

Its sounds like you have an external wastegate and a 3port boost controller from the video

Lol not even, I know pics would help with this, but it's currently pitch black outside. The catch can has breathers, and I have it connected to the back side of the valve cover, as well as the right side . Just those 2 lines, and now this is the issue.

Stupid question but you did cap off the fitting on the intake manifold that used to connect to pcv valve?

Watched video: sounds like spark blow out. Changed plugs recently? What plugs do yoy have and what are they gapped to?

I do have it capped off, I haven't changed my plugs in a while. But I have recently taken all of the coils and plug wires. Maybe that's the issue? Also, plugs are gapped to .026 per my tuner.

do u still have the pcv valve in? I'm thinking your catch cans might be seeing pressure and blowing out the gasket?

Post up how you routed all the air lines and watch kind of catch can(s) they are.

Attached are the pictures of my setup. There is no air recirculation, both lines are capped off. From what I've been told and researched, it looks as though it's more of a tuning issue. I am still running the stock maf.

Is the sound replicatable everytime you get near full boost?
I'd try new plugs. And tighten the gap down a bit, try .022-.024.

It's every time I use 3/4 throttle or above. Every time so far.

Issue has been resolved, thank you for everyone who has given me advice and input on this situation. After various testing and a new cop kit added to my mod list, everything is working as it should. It seems I damaged my coil pack while removing them to install the catch can. Whew, it feels good to have this thing back to operating correctly.

Yeah it was definitely odd. But luckily my tuner was able to help me out. After we came to the conclusion that the coil pack was the source of the issue; a few days later it finally threw a misfire code. Then it just confirmed everything, so I'm glad it's taken care of now. Weight lifted off of my mind. Should be getting tuned in about 2 weeks on a dyno for the first time and I'm pumped.

I'm just curious in what way you damaged the coil pack? Pulled to hard?
