My evo 7 gear shift gets hard to put into gear 2 from gear 1 but from gear 3 to gear 2 it's fine!

And also when the car is cold it's so hard to get the gear into gear 2 all other gears are smooth what should I do?? To fix this problem it's annoying!

 

When last was the gearbox oil changed?
Do you get any grating when trying to change to 2nd form 1st?

 

Yeah it does feel like it's grating and doesn't feel right and not sure when the gear box oil was last changed i can think maybe 5months ago!

 

Sorry I read that wrong no only from gear 1-2 nothing from gear 2-1 can't really put it into gear 2-1 until I am like stopped so doesn't grind just 1-2
