werid noise between 2-3k rpms

hello every one so I have an 05 evo 8 with 77k miles. and when I am accelerating fast or slow and if im sopped and just rev my engine it seems like the front end is making a weird noise like something is rubbing or gridding. I got the car on jacks and looked at everything I didn't seem to find anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well to start, i would check all engine fluid levels and make sure they are good. Have a friend rev the engine while you listen and see if you can narrow it down. If it sounds like its coming from the front of the engine you can try taking off the serp belt, run the engine (briefly) and see if the noise goes away. If not then you need to check the timing belt.
