High Mileage Evo

Been looking around for evo 9s in florida and I was wondering if I should stay away from 100k+ mileage cars. Im already looking out for stuff like poor condition, bad mods, among other things but sometimes I will see ones in good condition but just high mileage.

Don't fear the mileage. Look for maintenance record. Search here for the 350K "grandpa Evo"

this has been covered many times, why do you newbies keep asking the same questions instead of searching

Flaming someone for being a newbie and you have been on the site for less than a year? Thats pretty funny.

To the OP, I happen to think thats a pretty legit question. As someone else mentioned I would be far more concerned about crappy mods and overall lack of maintenance than simply high mileage. I would look for something as close to stock as possible. They are getting harder to find, but are definitely out there.

Stock? I'd do it. If it was put to stock id be more wary, look for signs of it being put back to stock. Slightly modded I may do it. Just be very thorough.

There is a really nice one that was listed recently down in FL that came from NC. Its a Red 9 MR with about 125,000 the only problem is that it is no longer listed at the moment.

I wouldn't ignore higher mileage Evo's, as long as they were taken care of properly. I'd rather have a properly maintained high mileage car, than a poorly maintained, low mileage car.

I have 124K on my 06 and would purchase it. It comes down to money, what kind of deal you'll get. A used car, is a used car, your going to have to put money in to it regardless of miles.

I love seeing high mileage Evos, or high performance cars in general

I'll be more comfortable buying a high mileage evo in a 'snowless' state. Where I lived in Wisconsin, even cars with 10k start to develop rust.

You want to stay away from those.

I picked up my evo for 10k with 117k miles. I has been an awesome car. I did have to do tires, turbo, brakes, bov, but the motor was solid.
