boost control without Pills, MBC, etc
hi, new to this forum. Just picked up a stock Evo IX MR a couple of months ago. Have an Intake, TBE, tactrix cable, and a wideband on the way. Overwhelmed a bit with all the info at once after reading a bunch on how to tune, etc.
Jus wanted to verify with you guys. I am not trying to up the boost, just trying to help the taper a little to not drop as much and/or as fast. Is there any settings youd guys can recommend me to try out in ECUFlash for the "boost desired to load", "turbo wastegate error" , " boost control load offset", "base wastegate duty" etc?
I didnt want to up the boost until i switch over to E85, which would mean new injectors, fuel pump , etc ... thats y i havent bought a MBC yet.
just want to take it step by step .. and learn a little slowly.
any feedback is appreciated

You're on the stock boost control solenoid right now? If so there isn't really anything you can do without any sort of physical modification, the BCS is already pretty much maxed out. You can either change the stock boost pill for a more restrictive one or change to an aftermarket boost control solenoid such as the grimmspeed.

yea it's on the stock solenoid. I figured it was maxxed up, but was hoping since I wasn't increasing the boost, that I can configure the tables to help it from dropping off as much at redline. guess it doesn't work that way. thanks for the response

yea if it held even 20 psi, id be happy. the Evo currently hits 20 psi at around 4K, and tapers down to 14-15psi at 7K (which i thought were how stock evo 9s boost stock). so I was curious if I can make it hold 20psi by making some adjustments to the boost tables in Ecuflash without pills or anything else. I just DLed a Jdm Evo 9 rom, and noticed the boost tables were slightly different than the one I DLed off my USDM Evo 9
