HELP!! Battery relocation

Hello,

So after a few hours of fitting my battery into the trunk and getting everything situated how I wanted I ran into an indie. Were do you guys run the cables through the firewall? Does anyone have pictures? The positive cable is already ran through the driver side of the car but I cannot get it into the engine bay. Before I drill a hole in my firewall who can help me out?

I ran mine through the passenger side. behind the glovebox there is a grommet. it goes almost behind the abs module in the engine bay. There isn't really a good one in the drivers side unless you cut open the harness to snake your battery cable through the fenderwell.

You can do that, but I never had to as I've always found a preexisting hole to get the cable into the car. Some where a P.I.T.A due to location. Remember if you due drill a hole make sure you either get some wire loom and a rubber grommet to help minimize any chance of the wire getting cut on the metal and shorting out,Especially if its a Positive cable.

I took mine to a car audio installer I've been going to on and off for years. He ran the wires through the driver's side through the pre-existing conduit

I couldn't use the grommet hole behind the glove box because all my wires were going through there for the gauges. So i started ripping things off to find a new spot.

If you take off the drivers side front wheel, then take off the splash guard you will see a grommet hole, it will take up to a 0 gauge wire. If you pull back the carpet on the drivers side floor you will see grommets on the side of the car that's where you will pull your wire in through and to the trunk. if you need pictures let me know

I used a rod and poked it thru the firewall near the driver side, right next to the gas pedal.

Ended up putting it in the spare tire well and going under the car. Will post pictures when I get a chance. Ended up being the best way to do it IMO. Drilled some holes in the well and sent the wires out. Decided this was the best bet.
1. It saves me trunk space and is hidden.
2. no hole in the already weak evo firewall.

that's where I wanted to run mine initially but I love the ease of access where mine is at right now in the trunk and on some levels it looks good kinda sitting there where it shouldn't be. And like I said my installer ran through the driver's side where the factor wires already run through and then he ran through the interior to the trunk where the IC sprayer reservoir is supposed to be mounted.
