Building evo from scratch

Well looked all over for a white evo and cant find a white one anywhere.

So the plan is to sell the red one to my cousin and buy a silver one.

Going to strip it down to the shell get it repainted and reassemble it and replace parts that need to be replaced. Then paint the outside a pearlescent white color

why not just repaint the one you have? If you are going down to bare frame then a media blast should be easy.

Trying to help my cousin out with an evo he always wanted one so he will be paying my loan for me, and it hells my credit at the same time

This place said they would dip the whole car in a tank or heat the shell where the paint falls off

I hope you have the money to afford both cars once your cousin decides maintaining an Evo isn't for him and he stops "paying your loan". If he can afford to pay your existing payments, why doesn't he just secure his own financing?

One car is paid off, the other I can afford, if he doesnt pay ill have a spare key to pick it up and he loses his money and ill sell the car. I wouldnt not have done it if I couldnt afford it

^This. You want a white evo? Buy a white evo. The time and money to do a proper, full color change is insane. If you are hellbent on pearl white, and the whole car has to be 100% pearl white, then i get it, but still so much time and money!

Cant find them for the loan amount I have but nor do I want to spend 20k on an evo.

Trying to spend somewhere around 16-17k under 80k miles

But Im willing to make what I have work plus im redoing the interior so I might as well do everything anyways.

I plan on keeping this car for 15-20 years and when I retire hopefully at age 45 ill buy something very very nice

I have been contemplating back and forth to sell my evo. Your looking for a silver evo, mine is an 05, silver, at 69k miles. Id take 16-17k for mine.

So you want to spend 16-17k and then spend 5k to strip the car and repaint, but you don't want to sped 20k on a running well maintained car?

Why not buy a roller?

+1. Also why would you retire at 45. Every person I know that retired early hated it and said they were bored out of there mind. There is only so many things you can do and you will blowing all of your money while doing so. You want to spend like 20k total on a car and have it for 20 years? I am sure you will either want to mod and race it or get rid of it before then because you want something that fits your age range better. Its your life though so by all means do whatever, just speaking my mind.

If you can afford it, why do you have a loan or are worried about your credit?

What happens if your cousin totals your/his/the bank's Evo and doesn't have collision insurance?

In 15-20 years, any Evo will be a money pit, if you will even be able to find parts for it. I wish it weren't the case, but the auto industry isn't interested in what I want.

But hey, it doesn't sound like we can tell you anything.
