Question Front bumper quick release fasteners

Has anyone used these password jdm fasteners? http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...productid=8274

The price for these compared to other options is extremely low. I don't see brackets with these so not sure how these work exactly?

Other fastener options I found that do have a bracket:

Kinexic
http://kinexic.com/products/lancer-e...ase-bumper-kit

Toxic, but out of stock
http://www.quik-latch.com/toxic-fabr...k-release.html

Move over racing:
http://moveoverracing.ca/product/474/

Move over racing option that looks similar to password jdm:
http://moveoverracing.ca/product/mov...ni-quik-latch/

So all in all is that bracket needed?

Yes the bracket is needed if you are mounting off the fender tabs, which is the best place. I used the toxicfab brackets and quick fasteners to mount the sides and then as an extra step bought 2 loose quick fasteners and mounted the connection to the front bumper support. So I have 4 quick fasteners holding on my entire bumper, ducting and all.

Did you try the main site?

I don't know what they are selling at Password JDM since nothing is on their site...

I just paid the extra money and got the ToxicFab one, that dude from Kinexic is way too flakey.

Excellent info guys, thanks. I didn't check his site, and honestly those are the ones I wanted to begin with. Are you guys scared someone will take your bumper?

lol good to know. I thought with this setup you could essentially only use those quick releases to hold your bumper.

I don't park my car on the street, so I don't worry about my bumper getting stolen. Is that a thing?

The only thing I don't like is that the fender liners still bolt up to the bumper, but I'm about to fix that by converting them over to dzus quick release fasteners.

Not sure, but you never know, or at least in some parts of southern california I'd be worried

That's a good tip, I might as well save myself some time and purchase that too.

Just purchased the the toxic fasteners

Mine is only held on by 4 of these fasteners. But then again, my evo is either parked in my garage, on track, or in the summer driven to work occasionally. No real worry about someone stealing it.

Intercooler spray line

Im trying to instal the quick release bumper button , but ran into a issue.
the intercooler water line is attatched to the bumper

do you guys leave it on ? Kinda defeats the quick release.

Is it worth leaving it on or can I just fk it off?
what’s your thoughts
how’d you’d get around it

I do want to keep it on for the purpose of it
