Hello all,

I have a white 2006 Evo 9 that I bought new and got to take delivery off the showroom floor. It currently has 30,000 miles and I plan on keeping the car for a long time.
I am sure that Mitsubishi will stop making parts for these cars around year eight to ten and here we are...2014-2015.
I am wanting to "stock" some of the high wearing items that will be discontinued at some point.
My question is ...what are these items based on what you all see wear out...( This consists of items that we will say 10 years from now are ones that we would like to go back in time and purchase from the dealer-I'm not including parts from drag racing ,etc.. )

Here is my list so far:
top console trim
shift boot
floor mats
trunk mat
steering wheel
wheels...probably not buy new because of cost.. and buy them used from this forum to piece together a good set of spares
oem performace option dash guage set
oem tail lights
and......???
(think like you are restoring a car to original...)

Seats. Front at least
Door trim/seals
Center console
Interior door panels. Fronts. Well maybe it's just my slob friends...
Armrest cover
That's what I might add to that.
If you're also talking mechanical parts this list gets really long.

 

Shift knob. I Have a IX MR, and mine was all scratched up and worn when I bought the car. Mitsubishi has discontinued the MR aluminum one, so the dealership sold me the black leather 6spd one instead. And I am ok with that, it's a nice piece.
