I know your cost are much more then up here in the states, but if i had the $ I'd buy it. Street or
track that evo looks to be a beast...

You can get a clean 9 for ~25K US. Sky is the limit once you open it up to mods. There are half million dollar time attack evos.

Especially not when you could import an Evo VI TME for a fraction of that into Australia.

You would be better off asking this question on the aus forum, seeing as it is a market specific question.
Evo 9's generally go for around the high 20's to low 30's. This having a built engine and a whole lot of goodies is obviously pushing the price up. You certainly couldn't build the car for that price.
The guys on evo oz will give you a better idea on whether the price is worth it and I'm sure there are people on the forum that know the history on the car as well.
