honestly all 3 are great and I think you'll be happy with any of them. The 8 will be the cheapest though of the 3 if that's a factor. I to at first thought the x engine wouldn't be as good but now after owning one and doing a lot of research they are actually excellent engines and hold up very well if not better than a 4g63. I owned a 8 and now a x and I prefer the x over my 8. but I loved my 8 and thought I would never go to a x but did and no regrets. Every one that owns a 9 seems to love it too, so just go with what you like more.

Although I have an X I would have probably went with a 9 if I didn't need something slightly larger. I chose an X since it was newer and heard good things about the engine at the time which speaks for itself after you drive one for awhile. I've had no issues with my X so far. I use it as a daily from work and back, grocery getter, family hauler and also from LA to SF every 2 months. I guess you get best of both worlds track car and a daily monster. However if I had to choose I would have probably grabbed MR if I knew I would do so much driving. None the less I love my xx14 GSR.
