Ok, So i used to have an Evo 8..

it was brand new. I was one of the OG's on here back in the day. With that said....I have had a fully built Single Supra, and now a C5 Z06.

I have gotten older and now have a child.
4 doors is nice these days.

I have a guy local that is wanting to trade.
Now..i know his ad says rebuild, but after talking to him it wasnt really rebuilt..

I know tons about these cars...

I know my car is worth more on NADA / bluebook etc by a few thousand, (stock)..plus my expensive wheels...thoughts??

If I was you I'll wait for a better deal. Evo's are money pit's if you don't build them right.

 

my 03 was about the same mods..I never had one issue...but i would prob have to have some cash I am guessing for this to be a right deal

 

I love craigslist. "Flawless interior" must mean stretched the **** out driver seat and high-heel hole in floor mat.


Sell your car for what you think it is worth, then go buy the right car for you. Settling for a particular vehicle out of convenience is a recipe for disaster.

I saw that ad while browsing through CL. It's been up for quite some time, and I believe he's adjusted the ad from when he originally had it up for sale. If it's the same one, it used to have a ginormous ricey wing on there too. The ad originally was up for sale at 13,500 and said "yes, it was tuned" and some type of cams in which he didn't know what. I say this because I emailed him about it for a friend, and the reply was "text me".

I feel like by the way the ad is set up, and also you said you found out it's not really rebuilt, this thing is gonna be a headache in the long run. Just wait, and you'll find a better trade.

 

Get a hold of Spec Ops Motorsports they are right around the corner from you. The could help you find a stockish or built evo.

 

Id wait it out for the right jeep or 4x4. I recently sold my jeep to complete my evo and I have to admit the jeep was alot easier to drive.

 

jeeps can be an even worse money pit when some chuckle head that didnt know difference between their rear and a hole in the ground works on them before you buy them. thats what happened with my last jeep
