oil pressure light brefly

during making a kinda sharp left turn at 20mph tonight i saw my RED oil pressure light came on in the cluster for like 5 sec and then off. I parked the car in the driveway and check oil on dipstick. It shows full and still very clean (recent oil change). I checked oil again after 10 min and still full. I started the car 3 or 4 times and it runs fine with no oil pressure light on. Would it be safe to continue driving to work? I dont have oil pressure gauge, just a aem wideband o2 and it reads fine if that helps.

Your oil pressure sensor may be failing.

Same thing happened to me. I have an 05 VIII w/69K miles on it.

Where is the sensor located?

I believe it is under the intake manifold, at the back of the engine. But I am not positive.

If your oil pressure sensor is on the bottom of the car by the oil filter it's most likely corroded. Causing the light to come on

i went to a mech shop and have a oil pressure test and it turned out good. idle was 30 psi and at 2,500 rpm it was like 95 psi or something like that. So could it be just a bad sensor?

It could be either or I think the 8's have them on top while the 9's have them on the bottom but I'm not to sure

I would replace your oil pressure sensor. Even though you are still reading good oil pressure on the oil pressure tester, the sensor can still be defective.
