Another Crappy Mitsu Dealer

I'm planning on getting my car in a week or two. I wanted a Silver Evo with the CF wing and the sunroof. Well I located one at this dealer called Central Mitsubishi in Raynham, MA. Had one Evo left and it was just what I wanted. I called them yesterday morning to make sure I could test drive it (the weather was gonna get ****ty in the later afternoon) and they said yep it would be no problem and they were gonna get it out of the showroom to drive. I had called about ten am and told them I'd be there around one or so. Get there at 1:15 and the weather was fine but the car was still inside. I go in and what a holes. They sat me down and we started to talk and he asked if I was going to drive it. I said yes. Guy comes back and says I can't today because of the impending weather. Understandable because it was supposed to snow and its a bit of work to put the fuses in the car and move other cars (it was buried in a corner). He also says the manager will make an exception if I buy it today (obviously because he won't have to put it back). I said I still have other cars to test drive and have no intentions of buying today. So I ask about driving a ralliart 5 speed to get an idea of the car. Guy comes back and says the manager said it would be a waste of time since they are two different cars. Now I'm getting p.o.'d. I said well what can we do for a price on the Evo. Guy comes back and says the manager won't give me a price unless I buy it today. I say no problem. Grab my license and my friend Craig (he tagged along because he wanted to ride in it) and left. I won't buy my Evo there for sure. What I will do is send a picture of my new Evo to the sales manager though. What a waste of an afternoon.

good move!! Dealers can be such a holes!!! If it's not to far a drive for you I would head over to Boch Mitsubishi on the automile in Norwood, ask for Amir he is really great to work with and I know they have EVO's coming in all the time because they are constantly moving them out the door. I'm waiting to pick mine up, it will be ready today but don't know if I want to drive it in this weather!?!?!?

Tell Amir that Tim sent you if you head over there.

That really sucks. I had the same experience with both dealerships I went to. I tried at one in Hampton(NH) and Auburn (MA). I couldn't drive it 'cause of my credit!! Total BS. I had a co-signer also!!! That's why I got my STi. Mitsu dealers are jerks.....well at least the ones I went to.

Like there are any Good Mits dealers. The dealer I bought mine from,I used to work at before they got mitsu, was only a Subaru
Dea;er.I am real good friends with the shop foreman, service manager ans they were both only lot kids when I worked there 18 years ago,but still know full well when the time comes for some major warranty work to happen that there will be problems.
It isn't them,it's mitsu in general. They are afraid if they warranty say a engine,or trans or diff, that they wont get paid from mitsu for the claim,as mitsu are jerks when it comes to any kind of warranty.BTW,my friend is mitsu master tech certified and he tells me that mitsu only wants them to repair anything that goes wrong it,they never want them replacing a component unless it is a non-serviceable part, and no part to repair it is available. That is the quality that mitsu has in their products.By the way,I did get a screaming deal on my car last august,$300 over factory invoice, thats just under $2000 off sticker, and it is just the car that
Smokin silver has in his signature

Actually I've got an appointment with them for Friday. They said they'd get the silver if I wanted and I asked about the blue and they'd do it for $400 cheaper than any quote I've got so far.

Ask for Amir when you get there, if you haven't already spoken to a sales guy. Amir will help you out. They have a silver one on the lot but I believe it has just the wing, no sunroof. The blue one is inside, all modded out. Some of the prices on the mods are really high but work with em. I think they have a yellow and maybe a black right now as well.

Colonial now only has 2, I bought one from them last weekend! David is the manager and is who I dealt with. I got mine with cf wing and sunroof for 28000 plut tt&l and no bull****! They were better service then the Lexus dealer I got my wifes car from ( thats saying something!) By the way, I used my credit and got the car at a higher interest rate, so my wife wanted to use hers to get lower payments and Colonial called me back on monday saying she got a better score and they would be happy to redo the paperwork, so we got the better rate! I can't recommend Colonial in Danbury Ct. enough for anyone looking for an evo, trust me they are a great dealership, not a stealership!!!
