2005 Evo MR. Driving through Oklahoma a little while ago, my SES illuminated. Is there a reason it would come on (like a maintenance reminder, or ???) at EXACTLY 1,500 miles? I have not taken the car over 75 MPH, nor 4,000 RPM yet and forgot my scanner at home. I will stop and have it scanned in the morning at the dealer, but didn't know if anyone ran into this with their own cars.

the only reason it comes on is if there is an issue that the computer detects. basically, get the code to find the problem. it has nothing to do with any maintenance reminders or anything of that nature.

 

Yeah... I figured as much. The car has been in storage for many years. I suspect a vacuum line or a lack of vacuum on the fuel tank. Dunno. Like I said, I will have it scanned in the a.m. Thanks for the reply.
