So my outer boot tore and I pulled the cv off to replace it. I disassembled the cv to clean all the innards and check them for damage and made the mistake of not marking the orientation of the cage and spider gear. I was wondering if anyone knew which side faced out on each, thank you.

 

Not sure if this will help you but start reading at pg 20...also look at the exploded diagram for reference.

 

Yeah no I got the service manual only thing is that the cage and the spider gear have a "thick" end and a thin end and it matters which direction those go. I finally got it after a lot of trial and error but thanks for taking a stab at it, woulda helped it the sm was a lil more specific but o well.
