Is it possible to over tighten strut bar bolts? Can I just tighten them until I can't tighten them anymore? Are there any consequences?

 

The consequence would be breaking the bolts. Those aren't exactly torque-critical components, I wouldn't be too worried about slightly over/under torquing them. There is no need to make them double as gym equipment though.

go until their pretty tight, only consequence would be is snapping the bolt.

 

Does not need to be jacked. But if you decide to jack the car up, expect the front struts to come out of place and be a pain in the butt to line back up.

 

45 ft-lb is what they get torqued to. at least the ones on top of the struts. i dont know about the firewall mount
