Does anyone know what kind of cleaner I can use to clean the throttle body for a 03 evo? I looked at the back of the CRC brand and it says not to use it for turbo engines. Has anyone used it before? Is it okay?

I also wanted to use the clean to scrape off gasket remains and replace it with a new one.

 

Just use plain old brake parts cleaner. It is cheaper and works better, plus it is less oily.

Just do not spray into the intake AT ALL. Soak a rag and wipe it out. When you start spraying into the throttle is when you start breaking stuff.

 

do not clean off the black film( moly coat) where the thottle plate closes, its there to make sure the plate seals.

Don't clean it. There is a fine material on the inside that can't be cleaned off. It seals the throttle blade. Your issues is probably the IAC.
